  • Graduated Washington High School, Milwaukee Public Schools, 1964
  • Graduated Stanford University
  • Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Political Science, 1968
  • Master of Arts in Education, Stanford School of Education, 1979
  • (During gap decade, 1968 to 1978, I traveled the world and US and did carpentry, gardening, house painting, truck driving and politics.)

Career:

  • California Teaching Credential; Lifetime, Social Science and Speech.
  • Taught at the secondary level, the last 20 years at Henry M. Gunn High School, Palo Alto, California,
    United States history, United States government,                       World history, and Far East Asia history and culture
  • Instructional Supervisor (Department Chair) in Social Studies, 2003-2005

Community Service:

  • First Lutheran Church, Palo Alto; Sunday school teacher, usher, deacon, social service committee member, 1975-2005
  • Siddha Meditation Center Co-Leader, Palo Alto, 1982 – 1985
