Campaign 2020:
The Disastrous Journey from Morning in America to Mourning for America

1980 – 2020

Dear Friends and Fellow Citizens:

Vote John Karl Fredrich for President 2020.

The distance that our country has traveled over the last 40 years encompasses an extraordinary portion of our nation’s journey. The building of wealth, power and innovation has been accompanied by a tremendous increase in inequality of well-being and a reduction in the living standards of millions. As our generosity of spirit has evaporated so has our care for one another been diminished, while at the same time we have compromised our resources and run up incredible debts.

These results were not necessarily the intended outcomes, and any improvement in health care and social services is to be celebrated; however, our present system of governance with its two political parties holding a tyrannical monopoly over debate, deliberation and decisions has led us to general political paralysis.

White House with Nice Lawn.

I contend quite simply, as Senator Bernie Sanders has now been arguing for a number of years, that the way in which the country operated under the New Deal Order from 1932 to 1980 offered us a superior level of choice and better results. The current regime has presided over epic incompetence and a suspect morality, never mind its apologists and cheerleaders. The tax cuts of Reagan, Bush and Trump have not been paid for, even as costs, especially a huge military run-up, have soared into the stratosphere. Abandoning an emphasis on both national security and fiscal responsibility is not a strategy for success. The question then is, “Have you had enough? Are you willing to try an alternative?”

That choice is embodied in the candidacy of John Karl Fredrich for  President and if you choose to write that name in on November 3, 2020, you will be repudiating the parties and the arrogance of The Electoral College and the system that stops majority rule from being the manner by which we select our Chief Executive. The House of Representatives can then select the President, and the Congress can in its 117th session abolish that archaic remnant of the original Constitution that was also flawed enough to tolerate slavery and deny women the full rights and privileges of citizenship.

This is our chance to create real democracy at the top of the ticket and it presents an historical opportunity to change our system of governance. This website is the focal point for the campaign to write-in John Karl Fredrich for President in 2020.
